  • ATÉ QUANDO, SENHOR?

    Habacuque 3.19

    Em meio às dificuldades da vida, o Senhor é o alívio para a nossa aflição:

    “O SENHOR Deus é a minha força, e fará os meus pés como os das cervas, e me fará andar sobre as minhas alturas.”


    Este livro registra, em grande parte, as queixas do profeta Habacuque, que viveu no sétimo século a.C., numa época em que os babilônios se tornavam o império mais poderoso daquela região. Habacuque não entendia como podia haver tanta maldade e injustiça em seu país. Ele também se perguntava por que Deus tolerava os babilônios, um povo cruel que ameaçava conquistar as terras de outros povos. Será que Deus não se importava com tudo isso?

    No entanto, há uma maravilhosa mensagem de Deus por trás deste texto. Habacuque usa a corça (cerva) para expressar a bênção que Deus poderia lhe proporcionar. Antes, precisamos entender a situação do profeta: Habacuque 1.2-3 revela sua aflição, mas ele sabia a quem recorrer nos momentos de amargura. Habacuque sabia que podia lançar sobre Deus suas ansiedades, pois Ele é o único que pode sondar os corações e mover o impossível.

    A corça era um animal típico da região, e inspirado pelo Espírito de Deus, o profeta a utiliza como símbolo. Aprendamos quatro características da corça para vivermos em comunhão com Deus.


    1 – A CORÇA NÃO VIVE EM CONFINAMENTO

    A primeira característica deste animal é que ele não vive confinado em um só lugar. Ela procura seu alimento nos lugares mais distantes que seu faro indica.

    Assim também devemos agir: por maiores que sejam nossos problemas, não devemos nos prender a eles 24 horas por dia. Não podemos nos limitar aos “pequenos reinos” que criamos — “meu casamento”, “meu trabalho”, “meu ministério”, “minha carreira”. Sem Deus, esses reinos podem se reduzir a pó rapidamente.

    Lancemos sobre Deus nossa ansiedade, pois Ele é a nossa força e pode nos tirar do confinamento das coisas deste mundo, direcionando nosso olhar para Aquele que levou sobre si nossas enfermidades. Os problemas diários surgirão, mas temos a quem recorrer e podemos continuar caminhando rumo à linda pátria celestial.


    2 – AGILIDADE PARA ESCAPAR DOS PREDADORES

    Outra característica da corça é sua velocidade. Ela é ágil e não pisa em falso, escapando facilmente de seus predadores.

    Quando depositamos nossa vida diante de Deus, Ele pode fazer nossos pés como os da corça, nos tornando confiantes de que, mesmo diante das investidas do inimigo, sempre haverá um escape providenciado pelo Senhor. Jesus disse:

    “Tenho-vos dito isto, para que em mim tenhais paz; no mundo tereis aflições, mas tende bom ânimo, eu venci o mundo” (Jo 16.33).


    Somente em nosso Salvador venceremos as adversidades, confiando e confessando. Sempre haverá um escape para aqueles que O amam.


    3 – A CORÇA É CAPAZ DE SENTIR O CHEIRO DE ÁGUA A QUILÔMETROS DE DISTÂNCIA

    A corça consegue sentir a água e a grama a quilômetros de distância. Ela pode até perceber a água que corre sob a areia do deserto e segui-la até encontrá-la. A corça sobe aos picos mais altos, onde o orvalho é mais forte, para saciar sua sede.

    Assim deve ser a vida do cristão: sempre necessitados e dependentes do Espírito Santo, buscando a água da vida, que jorra para a vida eterna. Deus pode tornar nossos sentidos sensíveis à Sua presença. Mesmo no deserto, Ele nos guiará para as fontes mais altas, saciando a sede da nossa alma através do poder do sangue de Jesus, entronizados diante do Pai.


    4 – E ME FARÁ ANDAR SOBRE AS MINHAS ALTURAS

    Existem pessoas que talvez queiram nos ver caídos. Algumas não se alegram com nossa felicidade, nosso sucesso ou nossas conquistas. Porém, com plena convicção de fé, sabemos que há alguém que deseja nos ver andando sobre nossas alturas: Jesus Cristo.

    Ele nos dará pés firmes, com Sua Palavra como lâmpada. Muito se fala no livre-arbítrio do homem, mas pouco se menciona o livre-arbítrio de Deus. Quando o livre-arbítrio do homem se choca com o de Deus, adivinhe quem prevalece? Deus escolheu nos abençoar e proteger, permitindo que andemos nas alturas de Seu descanso.

    A corça é um animal que, ao ser visto em um monte íngreme, parece prestes a cair. Talvez você esteja enfrentando aflições assim como Habacuque, ou passando por um deserto espiritual. Mas o que as pessoas não sabem é que você não pisa nas areias movediças deste mundo — você está com os pés firmes na Rocha que é Jesus Cristo.

    Lancemos nossas ansiedades sobre Deus, pois Ele cuida de nós. Ele fará nossos pés como os da corça e nos fará andar sobre nossas alturas. Amém.

    Long copy or short – You decide

    As a marketer, you probably don’t even believe in body copy. Let alone long body copy. (Unless you have a long body yourself.) Well, truth is, who‘s to blame you? Fact is, too much long body copy is dotted with such indulgent little phrases like truth is, fact is, and who’s to blame you. Trust us: we guarantee, with a hand over our heart, that no such indulgent rubbish will appear in your entry. That’s why God gave us big blue pencils. So we can expunge every example of witted waffle.

    For you, the skies will be blue, the birds will sing, and your copy will be crafted by a dedicated little man whose wife will be sitting at home, knitting, wondering why your entry demands more of her husband‘s time than it should.

    But you will know why, won‘t you? You will have given her husband a chance to immortalize himself in print, writing some of the most persuasive prose on behalf of a truly enlightened purveyor of widgets. And so, while your dedicated reader, enslaved to each mellifluous paragraph, clutches his newspaper with increasing interest and intention to purchase, you can count all your increased profits and take pots of money to your bank. Sadly, this is not the real copy for this entry. But it could well be. All you have to do is look at the account executive sitting across your desk (the fellow with the lugubrious face and the calf-like eyes), and say ”Yes! Yes! Yes!“ And anything you want, body copy, dinners, women, will be yours. Couldn’t be fairer than that, could we?
